{so. happy.} |
I can happily report that the temperature has started to rise here in the South of France. We have turned down the fuel guzzling furnace and opened up the shutters and doors to 'turn the air'.
{his feet aren't touching the ground} |
Aside from a minor incident of burst communal garden pipes everything is turning up around here. Plus, my 70+ year old neighbor who helped me with the burst pipe told me I was adorable. That's always nice. I keep replaying it in my head, 'Vous êtes adorable'. Right up there with the charming P-Daddy if you ask me. The French are so flirty!
{my idea of heaven} |
To celebrate all this sunshine and happiness I took the boys and Clementine to the beach last week. Clementine wore herself out fetching sticks and shells and frolicking in the waves.
{serious frolicking} |
The boys and I basked in the warm sun and dreamed of warmer days when we can swim too.
{'in ireland i'd be swimming'} |
I hope it's warming up where you are too.
It is nice to see some sunshine, here it is rainy and still quite cold. It seems to me that I will never be able to warm up again.
ReplyDeleteLove the last photo caption!
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled to hear that warmer weather is returning to the South of France as we will be back at our house in Provence soon. My cousins who live in Clapier always tell me the weather is better in Montpellier than almost anywhere else in France.
ReplyDeleteSalut Aidan, thanks for stopping by PP today. Glad Veronique alerted me to some cool blogs! I must say, I am quite envious of your warmer weather...it's cold and windy, although I can at least say that it is sunny, here in Philadelphia. Can't wait to explore your site! xx Katelyn
ReplyDeleteOh Aidan--you are torturing us in the Northwest! We are cloudy and still soooooo cold! What the heck am I doing living up here?!? I haven't seen our beach since the novelty of the snow three weeks ago because now it is just cold and grey again!
ReplyDeleteHappy to see your gorgeous ones frolicking in the sunshine--and there is absolutely nothing better than pure dog-joy!
Wish we lived closer!
xx,
Cat
Hi, thank you for your visit on my blog!
ReplyDeleteso you're living in south of France too?! It will be interesting for me to discover how you see my country.
Regards, Malyss
Well, well, well... So happy to see some of my favorite ladies connected online today... Now I know I was right to send the Liebster award your way. ;-) What a dreamy post, the sea, the dog, and the happy children of course. You even got sun ! I miss Southern France! By the way, don't know if I ever told you Aidan, but my family on my mom's side is from the Herault region of France. I lived in Montpellier for 6 years in the late 1970s (my high school years.) It is such a convenient area. The beach is just a short drive away... Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteI loved that you had the beach to yourself. Your boys and furry little girl look so happy :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been lovely hasn't it? We will probably get on the motorbike and head off this weekend (boy-free) as the temperature is set to be 17°C and the sky that lovely blue. I love this region!
ReplyDeleteThis last weekend I spent some of it sprawled on my bed in the sun with my Kindle and the cat and the porte-fenetre wide open. It was sooo warm.
Firstly, congratulations on your award from Véronique and thank you for visiting my blog too! It is milder here in the UK but I'm sure it's not as lovely as the South of France - what happy photos.

Merci for the visit to my Paris blog today. It is always so nice to hear from new readers, especially ones that are lucky enough to actually LIVE in France. I love the shots of your boys on the beach. I will stop by often to see your newest adventures.
ReplyDeleteBises,
V
I found some time to have a proper look at your lovely blog and I'm delighted to be your newest follower! 100! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you and ready for a bit of warming up! The beach pics are great and the kids look like they sure had a fun time! I'm loving the fact that I can now open up my windows instead of being all cooped up inside. I feel hiking season coming on :)
