'Babe, this stuff is dynamite!', Mon Mari.
The Perfect Salsa
1 780g can of chopped tomatoes--use absolutely the best you can find
1 green chile pepper diced, membrane and seeds removed
1 handful chopped coriander
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp garlic powder or 1 clove crushed fresh garlic
1 tsp chili powder
small glug of vegetable or sunflower oil
juice of one lime
Mix well and chill.
Serve chunky or blitz if you like it that way.
Have this with a margarita on the rocks and you're smiling.
Must try this, I think I can use fresh tomatoes in this summery season?
ReplyDeletePlease tell me you're making this next weekend?!
ReplyDelete(I'm incredibly cheeky aren't I?) x
I just made almost the same version using fresh. And it was delicious! I didn't use chili power, however. I'll have to try it. Can you please translate the word "glug" into French? :) Hope all is well Aidan. Going to be in Aix at all this summer?
ReplyDeleteBlandina,
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely posatootely use real, live fresh ones. I was just being lazy.
Sara,
I will make it for you. That and guacamole and sour cream chicken enchiladas and margaritas, skinny lady style
Delana,
Glug? hmmmm.
I may come over to see Kirsty's baby sometime in August so I'll let you know. Plus, we are thinking of another Blogapalooza in September if you're interested. Maybe here in MPL.

Looks fantastic. I sure wish there was some sun here to give me a reason to eat salsa and margaritas. Are you getting any sun down your way?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recipe! We've been in France for three weeks and salsa is the ONLY thing missing.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am going to have to try that this week. yum!
